Theopi Skarlatos is a multi-skilled, award winning, female film maker with UK and international credits for content across film, TV, radio, digital video and written platforms. She has a particular interest in socially conscious stories.

Specialising in gaining access and telling domestic and international stories with universal themes, she is skilled in:

- development and pitching
- delivery across a variety of delivery lengths and budgets

Her films have been broadcast and screened around the world. She is a trained and experienced journalist that’s worked for major channels including BBC, Channel 4, ITV and Al Jazeera English.

With extraordinary access to key politicians, her four-part documentary #ThisIsACoup for the Intercept’s online film channel, Field of Vision, tells the story of the showdown between Greece and the global financial elite in 2015.

She has reported from destinations as varied as Greece, Rwanda, Iraq, Jamaica, Kenya and the UK. Her work with Black Leaf Films includes directing McStrike and Homeless in Athens for Channel 4 News as well as Prejudice and Pride in Hungary and The Dolphin Sanctuary for Al Jazeera English.
